A MINI music festival with motorcycles has raised more than £1,000 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Revolve was held on Saturday at the Vale of the White Horse pub in Minety to fundraise for the charity in memory of Hannah Cubin, who collapsed and died at a sleepover when she was 14.

Since she passed away in December, her parents Andy and Dawn have worked tirelessly on their fundraising campaign for the Air Ambulance who tried valiantly to save their daughter's life.

They have now raised more than £60,000.

Mr Cubin said: "A loss is hard enough as it is but when it's your only child, it's the worst thing you can suffer."

Dr Eleanor Ivory is a friend of Andy's who helped him after the trauma of losing his daughter left him temporarily unable to return to his job as a pilot for a major British airline.

She said: "People have been amazed by how he has coped, he's a really nice guy, very strong and brave.

"I also turned up today to support the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, I'm very honoured to be here."

Dozens of people went to the event which lasted well into the night, until around 11.30pm.

The sound of engines revving filled the air and a live band blasted 'Born to be Wild' through the pub's open doors as visitors enjoyed the rows of show bikes and vintage hot rod cars in the car park next to stalls selling artwork and bike-themed gifts.

The final total is still being totted up but Andy revealed that so far it's well above £1,000.

Mr Cubin said: "We're very very pleased, we had more than 180 bikes there and 7 bands, what a turnout, I can't quite believe it.

"I'm very grateful to everyone who's volunteered, I don't know all of these people but I consider them all friends."

As well as the bikes and bands, there was a disco and an auction in the pub.

Kerrie Dixon organised the whole thing.

She said: "I wanted to put something on for them and I've got a lot of biker connections and friends with interesting stalls so I started working on this after Christmas.

"All the bikers have had to use the Wiltshire Air Ambulance at some point, this is our way of saying thank you and giving something back.

"I'd like to also thank Dawn and Andy for allowing me to do this and everybody that's supported us.

"If everyone likes what we've done, we'll do it again next year."
