A THREE-CAR crash halted traffic on the B4042 just outside Malmesbury this morning.

Paramedics rushed to the scene after a silver Renault Clio, a black Mercedes SLK250 and a blue Ford Fiesta collided near the Lea junction at 11.47am on Thursday.

Suffering from chest pains, the woman in the Mercedes was taken to the Great Western Hopsital by ambulance while the two other women, who were driving the Renualt and Ford, were treated at the scene for a shoulder and a wrist injury.

As two of the cars rolled into the ditch and the other onto its side, recovery had to be called to remove the vehicles and the debris from the road which was then cleared at 2.15pm.
