STAFF at Whatley Manor can boast of being part of the only Wiltshire restaurant listed in the top 50 of this year's Good Food Guide.

The Michelin two-starred restaurant The Dining Room based in Malmesbury, which aims to delight all senses, is ranked at number 21 on the Waitrose list as revealed last Thursday.

Eloise Gordon, sales and marketing manager, said: "I am really chuffed. It’s a great morale booster for the team and for me. In The Dining Room we offer a choice of three seven-course tasting menus that take guests on a culinary journey and showcase the very best seasonal ingredients combined with a series of highly-accomplished cooking techniques."

"We strive to be innovative and the style of service is friendly and informed. We are fortunate to have the financial investment from the owners of Whatley Manor, Mrs Alix Landolt and her son Mr Christian Landolt. This support enables us to continue to offer our guests an award-winning culinary dining experience in beautiful surroundings.

"We hope that the recognition in The Good Food Guide 2017 encourages more guests, especially those in the Wiltshire area, to come and enjoy it."

Seven restaurants from the South West were recognised on the list, which has been dubbed as the foodie bible by some, including the family-run Gloucester Services on the M5.

Mrs Gordon added: "It is a great feeling to be the only restaurant from Wiltshire on the list and it makes the whole team even more proud of our achievements."
