MALMESBURY'S popular weekly Farmer's and Artisan Market celebrated its first anniversary in style with candles, cake and traders toasting a year of success.

Run by Ash Scott and Lisa Gore, with the support of Malmesbury Town Team, the market currently has between eight and ten traders.

Gordon MacPherson of the Malmesbury Town Team said: “It’s been an incredible first year for the market and definitely a reason to celebrate. We’ve got some great traders who provide an array quality products and produce on a weekly basis, which really help to make Malmesbury a go-to destination.

"The market is very much a big part of the Town Town’s Discover Malmesbury campaign and the with support of locals and visitors we’ve been able to pull off a fantastic first year for the Discover Malmesbury Farmers and Artisan Market – well done to everyone involved.”

The market also recently benefitted from ten new branded Discover Malmesbury stalls donated by the Malmesbury Town Team and Wiltshire Council, working with Malmesbury Area Board and Malmesbury Town Council.

The market trades every Friday from 9am-2pm at the Market Cross.
