A Malmesbury charity dedicated to helping the vulnerable, disadvantaged and people living in poverty has been granted status as a registered charity by the Charity Commission.

HEALS of Malmesbury were registered by the Charity Commission today (June 22) and staff are "delighted".

General Manager Alison Cross-Jones said: "The team are delighted that we have got this and it is another step further and another reassurance that what we are doing is right.

"The Charity Commission is confident in what we are doing and we can now really move the organisation forward positively."

HEALS of Malmesbury, which Mayor Wayne Jones has chosen to support during his term, has been given the registered charity number 1167780.
