A TEAM of 64 hardy cyclists from Dyson in Malmesbury had a target of £10,000 in their sights when they set off on a sponsored ride around the South West.
It was the second year of the so called Tour de Dyson and has grown almost three-fold since 24 cyclists undertook the first event last year.
The cyclists took their pick from any of four challenges – a 100km mountain bike ride, or a 30-mile, 55-mile or 100-mile road trip.
The money they raised went to Alzheimer’s UK.
To support the ride, local shop Performance Cycles provided a support car and a team member from Bibo Bike Coaching was on hand to make impromptu bike repairs.
Dyson chef, Joe Croan, welcomed the weary riders back with a banquet of refuelling snacks.
