POLICE want to identify a man believed to have been involved in a bank card theft in Malmesbury.

A woman was in the car park of Waitrose around 3pm on Saturday August 1, after shopping in the store. 

While she was by her car she was approached by a man and woman asking for help to put directions in to their sat nav.  After she had helped them and they had walked off she noticed two of her bank cards were missing from her handbag, which was on the passenger seat of her car.

Later there were attempts to withdraw cash from a number of ATMs and shops. 

The woman and man are described as being Italian or Greek in appearance and language.  The man in his early to mid 50s, the woman in her 40s.

Police would like to speak to the man in the picture.
