A SUPERFAN of the pop star Rihanna is wearing her heart on her sleeve - and her face, chest and back - after getting 14 tattoos of the singer across her body.

Sarah Ridge, 23, has seven images of the singer's face on her skin and a further seven copies of tattoos sported by her idol.

The full-time carer has ploughed more than £2,000 of her savings into the habit and has spent more than 48 hours under the needle.

Her tattoos include the Goddess Isis - which the Rihanna has inked under her breasts - and the singer's full name on her left forearm.

The latest design is a giant mural with five portraits of Rihanna's face across her back costing her £1,000.

Miss Ridge, from Malmesbury, says her mum begged her not to go through with the tattoos but she disagrees with people who think she'll regret it in future.

She said: "My friends think it's a weird obsession and I know my family would prefer it if my tattoos were more discreet.

"Guys might be put off dating me, but to be honest, I'm only interested in men who are Rihanna fans anyway.

"Ultimately, as long as I love my tattoos, that's all that matters.

"I have loved Rihanna for nearly 10 years, and I'll love her forever. Some people say I've ruined my body, but I just laugh it off.

"Rihanna's face is gorgeous, so having her image on my body makes it look better in my eyes."

Miss Ridge, who is single, first became a fan of the Diamonds singer back in 2005, aged just 14, when she heard the song Pon de Replay.

Her obsession with the diva grew and she started buying her perfume and clothing range before plastering her Facebook page with images of the star.

In October 2012, aged 19, she decided to get her first Rihanna tattoo on her left arm, costing her £150, and the rest just followed.

The devoted fan won a competition in September 2013 that meant she could be personally styled by Rihanna through fashion store River Island and to thank her she decided to undergo her dreams also came true in August 2014 when she flew to America to watch her idol perform for the fourth time.

To thank Rihanna for styling her, Miss Ridge planned her biggest tattoo yet - five versions of the diva's face inked on her back.

Miss Ridge added: "I was right at the front (of her American show), and she must have recognised me because she started following me on Twitter just afterwards.

"From there I started planning my biggest tribute to Rihanna yet - the giant mural on my back.

"I decided to have her face printed five times, intertwined with the text '10.09.2013 - forever thankful', because that's was the date she styled me in River Island."

This February - after a total of 48 hours of tattooing at a cost of £1,000 - the piece was complete.

Miss Ridge says she has tweeted Rihanna to show her the inking but is yet to receive a response from the star.

Now, the superfan is saving her pennies for her next tattoos - another Rihanna portrait for her arm and a gun on her ribcage to match the star's.

She giggled that before he had met her, her tattoo artist had not been a fan of the number one singer.

She said: "Tony wasn't a Rihanna fan when I first went to him, but since studying her face in so much detail, he's now been converted."
