A NEW picture of the man found dead on railway tracks at Oaksey has been released by British Transport Police as they try to trace witnesses.

Quentin Guy Duckworth, 47, of Malmesbury, was found dead on the tracks near a disused railway station in Oaksey at 1.40pm on Saturday, February 28.

He had suffered injuries consistent with being hit by a train, say police, and his death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Detective Inspector Mark Cleland, who is leading the investigation, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to Mr Duckworth’s death, including how he came to be on the tracks.

“We are particularly keen to trace his movements during the course of Friday night and Saturday morning, and in particularly sightings of him in Oaksey or Malmesbury.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen a 1994 M-registration blue VW Golf Match in the area.”

DI Cleland added: “The family have agreed to release this picture in the hope it will jog someone’s memory.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or spoken to Mr Duckworth on Friday or Saturday. He was wearing a black jacket with a khaki roll-neck top, dark trousers and walking boots, and was walking a collie type dog.

“You may have key information, however minor it may seem, which can help officers trace Mr Duckworth’s movements prior to his death and establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.

“Our thoughts remain with Mr Duckworth’s family at this difficult time.”
