Around 250 runners took part in the Malmesbury 10 kilometre road race on Saturday.
The sun shone for the town and country run, which formed part of the Malmesbury Carnival and Festival activities.
It was the sixth annual Malmesbury 10k and partly made up for this year’s half-marathon not taking place in the town.
Paul Davis of PD Fitness, which organised the event with DB Max, said: “There was a fabulous turn out.
“It’s one of those events which attracts experienced club runners along with people who just enjoy a good run.
“The course is superb, taking in the streets and the country lanes in and around Malmesbury.”
First home was George Frost of Team Bath Athletics in a time of 33 minutes, 39 seconds.
Second was Gary Dunstone of Chippenham Harriers (35.42) and third was Rich Ayling (35.50).
The first female competitor to the winning post was Michelle Maxwell of the Chippenham Harriers.
