Cottage destroyed by fire

Firefighters from all over the county were called to Worton, near Devizes, this morning when a blaze broke out at a thatched cottage .
More than 70 firefighters tried to save the roof of the house in the High Street but had to abandon efforts when it became too dangerous.
It is believed the fire in the cottage owned by Annie Shand started in the roof space.
