Pupils from Venus class at Nursteed Primary School in Devizes had some help with reporting their class activities last Thursday.
Gazette reporter Lewis Cowen visited the school to give the the benefit of his 20 years’ experience.
The Year 4 pupils were fascinated to hear how news is gathered and were full of questions about Mr Cowen’s most exciting and most unpleasant jobs – as well as how much sleep he gets each night.
The class has been busy writing up a report of their recent visit to Wiltshire Heritage Museum in Devizes, where ancient weapons caught their imagination. Teacher Anna Bishop said: “The children were very excited about Mr Cowen’s visit. The newspapers that he left will be useful in their class work.”
