POLICE are appealing for information after a teenage girl was grabbed by the wrist by a man she had in seen in a car as she walked to a bus stop in a village near Devizes.

The 14-year-old girl was walking by the Littleton Panell mobile home park at about 8.10am on Tuesday when she noticed a car parked nearby with a man inside.

A police spokesman said: "The man got out of the car and grabbed the girl by her wrist.

"The girl pulled her hand away and was not injured but understandably shaken up by the incident."

The man is described as aged between 30 and 40 years old, white but with tanned skin and 6 ft tall. He had a dark beard and is described as being of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper with the hood up and black jogging bottoms.

The car he was sat inside was a black, medium sized hatchback.

Detective Sergeant Rob Goacher said: “I’d really like to hear from anyone who was driving through the High Street in Littleton Panell between 8am and 8.30am yesterday morning, who may have a dash cam fitted to their vehicle, as well as anyone who may have seen this vehicle parked up facing the direction of Devizes, or the man inside.

“We understand that incidents of this nature can be really worrying and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to locate the person responsible. This includes house to house enquiries and obtaining any available CCTV footage from the area.”
