POLICE are appealing for the public’s help to identity a dog owner following an incident in Devizes.
On Sunday two terriers attacked a dog walker on a public footpath near Coate Road.
The dogs owner, a man described as aged between 50 and 70, gave a false address to the victim when asked for his details.
At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a white woolly hat, a khaki green coat, camouflage trousers and black boots.
The dogs are described as a black Patterdale Terrier and a tan Border Terrier.
PCSO Melissa Camilleri, said: “We are eager to speak to this man after his out of control dogs bit a member of the public twice.
“Anyone who knows this man, or the man himself, should contact Wiltshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
