YOUNGSTERS from a Devizes Beavers group helped clean up one of the most beautiful areas of their home town to win a scouting badge.
Members of 6th Devizes Beavers joined forces with litter picking group CUDS to clear around Drew's Pond as part of their community impact badge.
The children went into the woods to pick up rubbish along with an experienced team from CUDS which was created last year by Devizes In Bloom chairman Zena Robson.
Assistant beaver leader Sarah Bowler said: "They did a fantastic job. We decided on a litter pick around Drew's Pond in Devizes as I am always walking my dog their and see that the volunteer's needed help with litter picking.
"One of the parents gave us Zena's contact details as she knew they were a really fantastic group who would get behind us. We collected many bags of rubbish and we all had a wonderful time plus the Beavers realised the damage litter does."
Beavers, leaders and parents joined the CUDS volunteers at Green Lane car park and then set out to collect as much rubbish as they could.
