WHEN children' clothing firm owner Anthony Brown was looking for inspiration for a new name for his business the answer was very close to home.

For Mr Brown decided his own children Owen, Hattie and Mary should feature in the title and he has now called the shop OHM Clothing using their initials instead of Red Direct.

Red signage outside the business in Snuff Street, Devizes will also become blue from next week as Mr Brown refreshes the shop that has been operating for a year supplying schools and businesses with branded uniform and workwear.

Mr Brown of Sarum Drive, Devizes said: "The kids were ridiculously excited about the change and that they would be incorporated into the name. And having them part of it is really lovely for us. It means a lot.

"We're a family business, providing families in Devizes and surrounding areas a choice as to where to get school uniform from as up until we opened, they didn't have that choice. Parents are delighted to be able to have choice and we really do pride ourselves on being able to give unparalleled customer service."

"We would welcome all schools to work with us and would love to give all parents in Wiltshire a choice as to where they buy their uniform. We're parents and we know how important choice is."

He said that the clothing business would stay the same with only the name changing but other parts of the former Red Direct Group had been consolidated in recent months.

He said: "We have removed bits that weren't working to focus on the bits that were and clothing has done so well, this is where our main focus is - providing schools with choice and both schools and businesses the opportunity to use a local firm who pride themselves on competitive prices and excellent customer service."
