BUSINESS consultant Paul Johnson can breathe easy once again after a blocked nose that had plagued him for ten years was cured thanks to a Devizes health centre.

Mr Johnson, 49, had previously had no luck clearing up his nose and breathing problems despite visiting doctors and became more and more reliant on nasal sprays which became less and less effective.

But after moving back to the UK from Dubai and he was referred by his GP to the Devizes NHS Treatment centre and after a procedure he can now breathe properly again.

Mr Johnson from Westonbirt said: "Not only was I spending a fortune on sprays, but the longer you use them the less time they last. At the beginning I was getting about 10 hours’ relief, but over the years that reduced to two if I was lucky."

He praised the efficiency of the Devizes centre in Marshall Road. He said: "Everything was done when I was told it would be done and communication was accurate and good. The hospitals has a pleasant environment to be treated in and they really think about the whole experience – from free parking and attractive waiting areas to the attitude of the staff who never seem to look harassed and who always have time for you as a patient and the fact that you can receive treatment at weekends.

“I’ve told lots of people about how great the experience was. My advice to anyone thinking about accessing treatment at Devizes NHS Treatment Centre is to do it – the experience is absolutely fantastic.”

Previously Mr Johnson had been treated at another centre run by the same organisation and had also had good service. He said: "I knew it was going to be good because I had already received a colonoscopy at Devizes’ sister hospital, Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre.

"This was to check that I was not affected by a cancer which had claimed my father at a similar age to mine now.”
