PROTESTERS who want a developer to solve lighting and other road problems that have plagued their streets since their homes were built ten years ago have formed an action group.

The first meeting to discuss how David Wilson Homes can be persuaded to finish Hillier Road, The Crescent and other nearby streets is to be held at The Hours Glass at 3pm on Sunday (January 15).

The David Wilson Homes Action Group is being created under the leadership of David Bellis who said the first meeting would be just for residents so the way forward can be thrashed out.

Wiltshire councillor Laura Mayes has also started a petition which says: We require David Wilson Homes to finish the work on the Hillier Road estate so Wiltshire Council can adopt the roads."

A spokesman for David Wilson Homes said: "The roads have not yet been adopted but we are working closely with Wiltshire County Council to ascertain all of its requirements to make this possible. The repairs to the street lighting will bring us a step closer to the adoption of the roads.”
