LABOUR party supporters will be on the streets of Devizes and Marlborough on January 21 to collect names for a petition trying to stop more grammar schools from being created.
Devizes Constituency Labour Party has joined the Education Not Segregation campaign started after Theresa May issued a statement last year pledging to introduce more of the selective schools.
Sue Buxton secretary of the Devizes group said: "We have been collecting signatures on our petition in Devizes and Marlborough over the last few months.
"Our next outing in Marlborough and Devizes will be the last opportunity for people to sign our petition, before it is presented to Wiltshire Councillors. However, meanwhile there are copies of the petition available to sign at Devizes Books."
