BUSINESSES in Devizes are to hold a street party on December 17 to raise money for charity.
There will be music and late-night shopping from 2pm to 8pm in Long Street and St John's Street as traders do their bit to raise money for the Julia's House children's hospice, which is due to open in Devizes next spring.
Entertainment will include a fire performer, santa in his grotto and music from Corky, The Bored Horses and others. There will also be a children's craft tent, face painting and food.
Brian Ancrum from The Vaults said: "Most of the businesses in St John's Street and Long Street corner near the Town Hall will be involved. We are calling it Long John's Corner street party and we hope to raise money for Julia's House."
A full programme of events will be confirmed on Facebook by searching Long Johns Corner.
