FRIENDS Harriet Cleverley and Liz Gaule have created one business out of two to give mums in Devizes the widest possible choice when it comes to children's clothes.

The two women both have a teaching background and have five children between them. They have merged the Little Hen House and online shop Cotton Reel Kids to provide affordable but classic clothes.

Last month the standalone Little Hen House shop run by Mrs Cleverley, 29, closed but the merged business is now run from the main Hen House building at 28 St John's Street.

Mrs Cleverley said: "Our ethos is simple. We strive to ensure that all of our products are beautiful but also fun and functional for our little customers. Wherever possible we look to support other small businesses in our locality and are proud to provide an array of handmade accessories in store to accompany our clothing.”

Mrs Gaule, 43, said: "We have designed the Little Hen House to be completely child friendly so there is no need to worry about little hands knocking things over whilst having a browse. It is all part of the fun.”

The friends, who met at their children's nursery, make and design their own Little Hens range which they say allows high quality at affordable prices.
