MEMBERS of a business group took to the canal for a networking event that mixed a number of traditions as they floated along the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Iain Wallis secretary of the Kennet Federation of Small Businesses said: "We were joined by business people from across Wiltshire for some informal networking on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
"The Canal was built by, and for, local businesses and was vital to commerce across the southwest for many years so it seemed the perfect place for businesses to meet today.
"The event was well attended and the relaxed approach to networking was enjoyed by all, the fish and chip delivery ‘dropped on board’ from a bridge was a particular highlight."
Kennet Branch intends to hold similar events with a social aspect throughout 2017, Contact Mr Wallis by emailing iain@wallismarquees.co.uk with any suggestions for future venues or activities.
