THERE will be a change of routine this year for the much loved Wadworth shire horse annual two week holiday.
Instead of crowds gathering in Poulshot to see the horses supping a pint at The Raven before being let lose in nearby fields the ceremony will take place outside the brewery's visitor centre on August 5 at 11.30am.
They will then be taken by trailer to land owned by brewery chairman Charles Bartholomew in Bulkington. In the past the three shires used fields owned by Major John Bartholomew in Poulshot who died earlier this year.
Hundreds of people of all ages traditionally gather to see the horses enjoy the start of their summer break.
