A CAR driven by a 68-year-old woman flipped on its roof outside Wiltshire Police headquarters in London Road, Devizes, yesterday evening.
Emergency services were called to the accident just after 8pm.
People took to social media to advise drivers to stay away from the area but by 9pm traffic was moving freely although one lane remained blocked.
A spokesman for Wiltshire police said: "We received a call to a road traffic collision on London Road, Devizes at 8.09pm yesterday evening.
"The driver of a red Peugeot 107 had collided with a lamp post and the vehicle had flipped on to its roof.
"Ambulance and fire attended, and the council were also called.
"The female driver, aged 68, was checked over by ambulance crews at the scene but did not require hospital treatment."
