SUPER model turned businesswoman Caprice Bourret was in Devizes today and spoke about the difficulty of juggling family and work life.

She was in town for a business event organised by Wessex Chamber of Commerce in the Corn Exchange under its new name Inspire.

Before she gave the key note lunch speech to more than 100 business men and women she spoke to the Gazette about her own life at work and at home.

American born Caprice, 44, has two young boys Jett and Jaz born within a month of each other in 2013 after she used a surrogate to have one baby and then found she was pregnant herself almost immediately after.

She said: "Oh boy is it difficult even if you do have help. But they are my little miracles. I have a wonderful couple who help me but I do all the night-time stuff and sometimes if they are ill I don't sleep at all.

"I want to do everything for them myself like making supper and bath time. I try to always get back in time. It would be lovely if my mum was here in London but she is 6,000 miles away."

Caprice has never revealed which boy she gave birth to and which was carried by the surrogate but she says they adore each other. She said: "Don't get me wrong they can fight like mad. But then they can be so sweet holding hands. I just feel so lucky to have them."

The lingerie designer has used the boys as inspiration for her new home range. She said: "Since becoming a mother I have wanted to do more homely things and this seemed ideal. The lingerie is still my main line but the home line is growing."

She revealed it was her first visit to Wiltshire and she had enjoyed driving herself to the venue. She said: "It is such a lovely county and Devizes looks like a fantastic town."

Earlier in the day Devizes MP Claire Perry spoke to representatives of around 100 businesses who had gathered for the networking event.

Inspire president Rob Perks said: "We are delighted that Caprice could join us."
