ONE of Devizes' biggest employers was celebrating this week at the launch of its re-branding.
Haydens Bakery on the Hopton Industrial Estate employs 470 people and on Monday they were all given a goody bag to mark the milestone.
Haydens now uses the the strapline delivering naughtiness to capture the flavour of the many indulgent treats it makes in its Devizes factory.
Managing director John Larsen said: "The word deliveringhighlights the fact that clients can trust us to provide exactly what we promise in a reliable and hassle-free manner. And naughtiness acknowledges that our products are highly indulgent treats and are sure to leave you with a satisfied smile on your face."
The company was started more than 40 years ago in Marlborough High Street and has grown steadily to become a supplier to some of the UK’s most respected food retailers and coffee shops. Each day it creates more than 70 different products for the likes of Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Costa Coffee, Aldi, Asda, Morrisons and Caffe Nero.
During the celebration a cake made by Fiona Cairns who created the cake for the wedding of Prince William and Kate was cut. Haydens handles the deliveries of her cakes to Waitrose.
