Lavington pre-school has just been awarded an outstanding rating from Ofsted.

The school received their visit from the Ofsted inspectors on October 20 and have just received their report which states that they have received outstanding ratings across all four areas that are assessed by the regulatory body. The school received an outstanding rating on their last inspection, keeping their constant level of standards.

Rebecca Gray, 45 of Pewsey Vale, manager of Lavington Pre School, said: “I am absolutely delighted for the staff, team and committee to receive this high level rating. We have had an outstanding rating before, but under the new framework that Ofsted are working to it is brilliant we received it again. It was quite a rigorous inspection but we are very pleased with the result.

“The Outstanding rating, demonstrates our ongoing vision and commitment, to ensure that our children have the best possible start in the early years.”

The Ofsted reports cover four main areas of the schools performance, these include effectiveness of teaching, well-being of the children and the children’s progress in the school.

Mrs Gray continued: “In the report it says that the management and staff have excellent awareness of the children’s learning and there is a highly professional management team constantly striving for excellence. The report also states that the children are making sustained progress in learning and they are well prepared for the next step in their education.”
