Bereaved dad Matt Hunter will join his family support worker on the start line of the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday to raise money for the Rainbow Trust.

Mr Hunter from Devizes, whose 16-year-old son Joe died last summer, has been training hard with Chris Garlick from the trust to be ready for 13.1-mile run.

Mr Hunter said: “Chris had a real connection with my son Joe so when he visits it’s nice because we can remember him together.”

Mr Garlick has continued to support the whole family, especially Joe’s younger brother Adam.

Mr Garlick said: “This is truly personal to me as it is work-related but I also love a good challenge.”

Rainbow Trust’s Swindon Care Team supports 125 families across the South West. Each family has a dedicated family support worker.
