WILTSHIRE Museum is hosting a Great War Artefact Identification Day on Sunday.

During the day visitors will be able to find out more about their items from the museum’s experts.

Between midday and 4pm the museum, in Long Street, Devizes, will be open for people to bring along their medals, photos, documents and objects from the First World War.

Wiltshire Museum director David Dawson said: “People will be able to show their objects to our experts and help them with information about how to find out more.

“The stories may even find their way into our next First World War exhibition.”

Mr Dawson said items do not have to be Wiltshire or Devizes-related.

The day will allow the museum to build up a more detailed picture of the war and experts Richard Broadhead, David Carson and Dan Miles will identify objects and record their history.
