Jason Edwards, who was attacked in the Brittox in September, has this week come out of an induced coma.

He remains in intensive care at Southmead Hospital, Bristol.

The family of Mr Edwards, 42, have been at his bedside since he was found with serious head injuries slumped outside Boots in the early hours of Saturday, September 27.

A man and two women arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm were released on police bail.

The man, aged 20, and the women, aged 22 and 26, who are all from Devizes and all know each other, remain on bail.

Father-of-two Mr Edwards, who lives in the Spitalcroft area of Devizes, works as a driver for a Bristol firm.

Police have confirmed that he is no longer sedated and is now conscious.
