Staff at Specsavers opticians in Devizes held a charity bake-off challenge on Friday.
From 10am until 2pm staff at the shop in The Brittox, sold homemade cakes for people to try and then vote for the best one.
After more than 30 votes the winning cake for taste was organiser Polly Seager’s carrot cake.
Miss Seager said: “The event went better than expected and the public showed great support.”
The event was organised by Miss Seager and colleague Kirsty Hyde who were inspired by the TV show, The Great British Bake Off.
A total of £100 was raised from the day and the proceeds will be donated to Wiltshire Sight, the shop’s nominated charity for the year.
Maggie Hemmings, from Wiltshire Sight, was there to judge best presentation, which was won by branch director Karen Carvallo.
