Retired social worker Jenny Cox has written her first children’s book in memory of her parents and it will be available in Devizes Books from tomorrow.
Mrs Cox, of The Lye in Seend, wrote the book titled Edith And Ernie And The Worry Wort.
The 64-year-old said: “The book was inspired by my family and the white horse at Alton Barnes. My two daughters grew up in Woodborough and when their granddad died this year I decided I’d try to get the books in a couple of shops.
“Edith and Ernie were my parent’s middle names and the story is a magical adventure based on Edith and Ernie’s trip in a wonky plane to their grandchild’s party.”
Mrs Cox, who has been a painter for the past five years, is hoping to write more children’s stories in the future. The book is also available at Woodborough Garden Centre.
