A number of historic buildings in Devizes, including a 17th century lock-up, will be open to the public on Saturday.
The Trust For Devizes has arranged the event. Opening times are as follows: St Peter’s Church, Bath Road, 10am-5pm; Wiltshire Museum, 10am-5pm; The Parish Church of St John the Baptist, Long Street, 10am-3pm; St James’ Church, Church Walk, 10am-noon; The Masonic Hall, Morris Lane, 10am-3pm; St Mary the Virgin Church, New Park Street, 10am-3pm; The Church of our Lady of The Immaculate Conception, St Joseph’s Place, 10am-3pm; Wyndham’s, St Joseph’s Place, 10am-3pm; and The Lock Up, St John’s Street, 11am-3pm.
Local historian John Girvin will give tours of the lock-up.
