A series of exciting experiments took place at Devizes School when they held a science week.
Students of all ages took part in activities ranging from rocket launching and glider making to making lava lamps and exploding flour.
Contests ran all week with scientific prizes. The theme for the week was inventions and discoveries and the whole school was asked to reflect on the impact science has on their lives.
As part of the science week celebrations, 200 primary school students were invited to demonstrate their experiments at a science fair. Pupils from All Cannings, Chirton, Bishops Cannings, Nursteed, Southbroom, Trinity, Rowde and Wansdyke schools explained their experiments to each other.
The students took part in more than 25 experiments and activities that showed what a good understanding of science they have and how much fun it can be.
