Appeal over Corsham car damage
2:00pm Saturday 12th May 2012 in Corsham
Corsham Police are seeking witnesses who saw four cars in Coulston Road being damaged at 2.30am on Wednesday, May 2.
It is believed that someone walked on the cars and then carried out further damage on some of them.
The cars targeted were a Kia Venga, which had a wing mirror broken and footprints on the vehicle, a Fiat Punto, which had dents on its roof and a Citroen car which had its rear windscreen smashed. Another car also had footprints on its roof.
A forensic team are analysing the footprints left on the vehicles and the police would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident take place.
PC Hazel Anderson said: “We are currently awaiting the results of the forensics but in the meantime we’d like to hear from anyone who saw these crimes take place.
“I’d also like to emphasise how vitally important it is for members of the public, who witness crimes, to call the police immediately as this is a great benefit to us when we are trying to find the people who have committed them.”
Anyone with information can call Wiltshire Police on 101 or speak to the Corsham Neighbourhood Policing Team.
