A Colerne resident is furious that three street lights on the Southwood Estate where he lives have been on non-stop for over a year.
John Hipkin, 82, of Cherry Road, said that he has reported the fault to Wiltshire Council many times over the last year but nothing has been done.
He said: “They are responsible for the maintenance of the lights and I think this is a disgrace.”
Since Christmas two more street lights on the Southwood Estate have remained on, with one of them burning out.
Colerne Parish Council clerk Glenys Gill said: “Unfortunately, all I can do is contact Wiltshire Council, whose contractors maintain the lights.”
A spokesman for Wilt-shire Council said that they will be sending a team out to the estate and investigating the problem.
Anyone wishing to report the pole numbers and street names of lights staying on can call Wiltshire Council on 0800 232 323.
