Rock out at Box circus event

A community project in Box celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is seeking sponsors.

Box Rock Circus, which will be on recreation grounds near the Selwyn Hall car park, will home sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks as well as dinosaur footprints.

It is hoped the site will be of educational use and fun for children.

Work is expected to start on the site in May, with a variety of stones and blocks being placed.

Box Rock Circus chairman Elizabeth Devon said: “Ever since I started the idea, the project has gone well and has been supported by the parish council and representatives from most village organisations.”
