AN Oscars ceremony fit for the stars was held at Corsham Primary School to celebrate the achievements of their pupils and staff over the last year.

The red carpet was rolled out for pupils at the Pound Pill site as gold awards and certificates were handed out to the stars of the school, who have helped motivate one another or excelled at a subject.

The ceremony, which had been delayed due to the Beast From the East, also gave pupils and opportunity to thank their teachers for their help.

Deputy head Sophie Ridout said: “A range of awards were given to classes, teachers and teams in the school to celebrate their achievements and successes.

“Awards were given to classes for being motivated mathematicians masters, being leaders in digital technology and many more.

“Teachers were also rewarded for completing recently qualified teaching courses and middle leadership courses. It was a brilliant morning showcasing many talents of the committed teams of staff and children at Corsham Primary School.”
