A CORSHAM based energy firm has lent its support to National Apprentice Week by celebrating one of its success stories.

SMARTech energy has invested heavily in training and developing staff to ensure the right team are working in the right roles and apprentices play a role in that.

Stuart Pearce, managing director, said: "SMARTech energy insists on quality and excellence from staff at every level of the customer process and there is a great deal of individual attention given to developing members of staff and when skills gaps or development opportunities arise, these are quickly identified and progressed.

"A good example is Energy Consultant, Sam Wright-Green who joined the company in 2016 as a Junior Energy Consultant.

"Through training and development, Sam's role has evolved to reflect the company's growth and direction.

"Sam has not only stepped up to the mark, but has sought where possible, to exceed expectations and is now studying for the Energy Managers Association and for the professional Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers and actively applies his knowledge to the benefit of the company."
