THE chairman of Corsham's Town Council will be braving the cold streets of Bath tonight to help raise money for homelessness charity Julian's House.

Councillor Ruth Hopkinson is due to sleep on the streets in the rain for the charity, for which she has already raised £2,220.

Julian's House helps the most marginalised people in society to help regain their self-confidence and take back control of their lives.

"For me it's easy - all I have to do is truck up with my nice warm sleeping bag, spend a nice night with likeminded people, feel I've achieved something and then drive back to my nice warm house and hot bath.

"But others aren't so lucky. There are hundreds of people out there with nowhere to call a home and the least fortunate have nowhere to shelter tonight or anytime soon."
