A FESTIVAL celebrating the imaginative and the odd will take place for the third year this November.

The Magic and Mayhem Festival in Corsham, run by Pound Arts will feature magic, illusion, cabaret, burlesque, visual arts, music and theatre.

The festival will take place from Tuesday, November 7 to Sunday, November 12 with events taking place in The Pound art centre, Corsham Town Hall and the Corsham Almshouses.

Programme director Sophie Moysey, said: "We are so excited to launch this year's programme of extremely talented acts who are the best at what they do including Mitch Benn, Cabarat producers Goldust, Barb Jungr, Morgan and West, and The Human Zoo Theatre Company.

"They will light up the dark evenings with wondrous performances that will tempt you, inspire you, scare you and make you laugh."

It will feature a free exhibition full of moving, shaking, wobbling and jiggling sculptures and specially programmed films including The Handmaiden and Lady Macbeth.

Hoppin' Mad, who are twice UK lindy hop champions will be entertaining guests with a VE-Day Tea Dance.

Dr Mark Baldwin will tell some of World War Two's most fascinating stories, and Morgan and West, the time-travelling magicians return to The Pound with their magic show.
