A COMMERCIAL laundry unit in Fiveways Industrial Estate in Corsham has been destroyed following a fire last night.
Fire crews from Corsham, two from Chippenham and one from Bradford On Avon helped support firefighters from MoD Corsham and Bath at the Westwells Road estate at 10.29pm last night after the end of terrace industrial unit, believed to be Whitehouse Laundry, caught fire.
Four main jets, 12 breathing apparatus and three hose reel jets were used to tackle the blaze throughout the night, which also spread to an adjacent building and a van.
One crew from Westlea has been on site since 7am this morning to continue with damping down.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was currently unknown.
More to follow.
