A MODERN retirement village for the over 60s in Corsham celebrated becoming a finalist in the Pinder Healthcare Design Awards this week by donating their £500 finalist cheque to Dorothy House Hospice.

Nominated in the Best Indepedent Living Scheme (higher budget) category at the awards, Wadswick Green, which is based off Westwells Road, decided to strengthen their longstanding support of the hospice charity by donating their finalist winnings.

Peter Ford, chairman of Rangeford Holdings, the developer and operator of Wadswick Green said: "We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for the award, further cementing Wadswick Green’s position as one of the UK’s leading, innovative and aspirational lifestyle villages for the over 60s.

"We are pleased to support Dorothy House Hospice which provides such a great service in extremely difficult circumstances and thank all those who have contributed to the raising of funds through events and initiatives at Wadswick Green over the last 12 months."

The winners of the awards, which aims to promote and recognise the best developments in all types of care, will be announced on March 15 at an awards ceremony in London.
