A JUDGE has criticised the son of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White after he pleaded guilty to dishonestly using his ex-girlfriend's bank card.

Marco Pierre White Jr, 21, appeared in Hammersmith Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, pleading guilty to dishonestly making a false representation.

District Judge Michael Snow told Pierre White he was not an honest man.

The charge detailed that Pierre White Jr asked to borrow his ex-girlfriend Carina Evans' credit card "for the purchase of food items" for himself and asked her to unblock it to enable repeated unauthorised purchases to the sum of £2,500.

The former Big Brother contestant's offending took place on February 28 this year.

The court heard the reality star, who gave his address as Rudloe Hall Hotel in Corsham had arrived at Ms Evans' home that morning "in a bad state" and was half-dressed and dishevelled.

Prosecutor Robert Chambers said Ms Evans gave Pierre White Jr her credit card after he asked her for food but she later received an email from her bank about a "high volume of transactions" on her accounts.

The court heard Ms Evans eventually got in touch with Pierre White Jr and he told her he had been accidentally overcharged at a store.

Mr Chambers said Pierre White Jr then explained he needed the card to be unblocked because he had been arrested and needed to pay bail.

There were then further unauthorised transactions on her card, the court heard.

Mr Chambers also read a victim statement from Ms Evans in which she said she had never been in a relationship with him.

She described Pierre White Jr as "unstable" and as having a "drug habit".

But defence barrister Carl Newman, in his submissions, said the pair had been in a relationship and said Ms Evans had given Pierre White Jr the card to make purchases in the past.

At this, the judge said: "He can't suggest he was given permission to go straight to the Apple Store."

He then asked the young man: "You're not an honest man, are you?"

He said Pierre White Jr had deceived the woman to get her to hand over her card and then "tricked her into believing that you'd been arrested".

The court heard Pierre White Jr had prior convictions including an offence for driving under the influence of drugs, for which he was sentenced in June. Pierre White Jr is expected to be sentenced at Westminster Magistrates' Court on December 8.
