A BEAUTICIAN from Colerne, who was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, has been disqualified from driving after she was found to be nearly three times over the legal limit.

Stephanie May Stickley, of Valley Way decided to drive home from drinking at her friends house after she had an argument with her boyfriend on November 1 but crashed on the A363 at Monkton Farleigh, North Wiltshire Magistrates Court heard on Thursday.

When a roadside breath test was conducted, Stickley recorded 102 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath where the legal limit is 35 microgrammes and told officers that she was surprised she had got that far.

Defending Mr Moore said: "We have heard she had been drinking wine with a friend and wine glasses come in all different shapes and sizes these days and it was her intention to stay with her friend but she received a phone call from her boyfriend which was unpleasant. As we know, a person who has been drinking does not always make the best decision and in this case she decided she was best going home and that is what she decided."

Stickley was disqualified from driving for two years, fined £500 and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £50 victim surcharge.
