GREEN-FINGERED gardeners showed off their fruits of labour in a range of classes at the annual Corsham Gardener's Society Show.

Ten judges passed judgement on the array of vegetables, flowers, fruit, baked goods, crafts and photographs at the annual show held at Springfield Community Campus during Sunday afternoon.

The fine weather on Sunday attracted new faces and entrants to the society's show, who are affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society and regularly attend their events.

Maureen Cundict, Secretary of Corsham Gardening Society, said: "It went very well. We are always worried about it because we never know how many classes will be entered or how many people will turn up but it was great and we had people in all afternoon.

"The entries were down a bit but we knew that was going to be the case as a few of our regulars are on holiday but we did have some new faces enter which is really promising. We had classes for everything and we were very pleased to see them all enter."

"We just want to thank everybody really. It is whole team who help run the show and we are pleased that so many people had entered or come to the show and to our sponsors and advertisers who make this possible."

The society are hoping to run the show again next year but need to secure the funding to do so.
