THOUSANDS of pounds worth of jewellery were stolen this morning from Watlings Goldsmiths in Lacock.
Eye witnesses report that four men, who were not armed, pulled up outside the store in East Street at 10.15am in a white 4x4 car before three of them burst into the shop and then committed the robbery, trashing the shop in the process.
Police later found the car abandoned in Folly Lane less than a mile away.
