THE Gazette & Herald Mother’s Day competition was won by Corsham mum Emma Bollen after her 15-year-old daughter, Freya, put her forward.

Mrs Bollen, of Pickwick Road, bagged the £100 voucher prize which she can now spend in a garden centre of her choice.

The mother-of-three said: “It was very nice to be nominated and it was an equally nice surprise to win.

“It is the first competition like this I have won, however, I think it should really go to my daughter and not me as she is the one that put in for it.

“My daughter has kept hold of the vouchers and she is going to give them to me on Mother’s Day. Then I will go around the garden centre having a nice look around.

“We get the Gazette every week mostly for the sport as we are a very sporty family in this house and we always like to keep in touch with what is happening in the local area.

“I am quite into gardening and so it is a nice bonus especially at this time of year when you get the garden going again for the spring and summer. It tends to sit a little dormant over the winter so we are looking into getting it going again now.”
