MOTORISTS faced long delays this morning after the A4 at Corsham was closed due to an accident which resulted in four people being taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
The accident happened around 9.45am this morning at the Cross Keys Road junction and involved two cars.
Four people, including a woman in her 20s, a man in his 20s, a child and a man in his 60s were taken to the RUH with minor injuries.
A rapid response vehicle along with three ambulances attended the scene with police and fire crews.
The woman in her 20s was believed to have neck and chest pains while the man in his 20s is also believed to have had neck pains.
Cross Keys Road and the A4 were closed with all traffic being diverted. It later reopened at 1.15pm.
