A CHURCH in Box which claims to be the smallest in England, is opening its doors once again so visitors can have a peek inside.
Chapel Plaister, which dates back to the 13th century and seats just 27 people, was once used to give shelter to pilgrims on their way to visit the shrine of Joseph of Arimethea at Glastonbury.
From next week the building, on the B3109 Bradford to Corsham road, will be inviting visitors to come and take a look inside the place of worship and its architecture.
It is regularly used for Sunday and mid-week services but normally remains closed to visitors for the remainder of the week.
However its seasonal opening has proved popular so it will be open to members of the public every Wednesday from 2-4pm until September 16.
